Christopher's Walken was kind enough to attend a fan reception held in his honor on the night of August 3, after he finished that night's performance in the Chekhov play, The Seagull. 

Meeting him was a treasured experience for everyone, and we all agreed that he came across as a very charming, generous, and funny man.  He was truly a joy to spend time with!   Attending the play was a once in a lifetime experience as well, with a star-studded cast that also included Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, Natalie Portman, John Goodman, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

A few months later, Chris talked about his experience at the reception during an Empire Magazine question and answer interview.

Shortly after the event an MSN Communities - Walken Fan Reception site was set up to commemorate the entire weekend.  The community contains dozens of photographs, sound bites of Chris having fun along with his fans, a message board, and a file cabinet containing personal play reviews and recollections of the event.
